A Witty Conversation in Vietnam

When I was in Hanoi on 6 July, I visited Lotus IMC Co. Ltd. (http://www.lotusimc.com/) to talk with Mr. Son, chairperson, and Mr. Tai, president.

During that conversation, Mr Tai said, "SUCCESS cannot be spelled without U (you)." I replied, "CHANCE can be turned into CHANGE with T (meaning teamwork)."(The capital letter G is C with a small T)

Vietnamese people like these play on words, but it is difficult to give a witty reply. I had another experience during my stay in Vietnam. I said to my former colleague at the National Economics University in Hanoi, "Recently I feel like I need more vitamine C." She replied, "I always need vitamine A (Anh meaning man)." So I said, "I also need vitamine E (Em meaning young woman)."

In doing business in Vietnam, such a witty conversation may be the key factor to success.
